THORP PERROW ARBORETUM, the grounds and trees

I feel like I am in heaven when I am able to wander in places like Thorp Perrow Arboretum.  Yesterday was quite an extraordinary day.  It was a Thursday, the children were still in school, workers still at work, the sun was shining although it was not too hot, and the air quite still with just a hint of a cooling breeze.  I wandered with a friend and although I found it quite exhausting due to my balance problem, there were seats available to rest, a cafe area where we were able to sit outside and indulge in cake and coffee.  The trees are so very lovely and my only disappointment was that instead of them having labels identifying them, they had numbers - but we weren't given anything at the entrance by which to understand the numbering.  It was at Thorp Perrow Arboretum, you know, that I first saw Acer Griseum, the Paperbark Maple and the lovely Prunus Serula with mahogany coloured bark that shines like satin.  I took a number of photographs of the grounds at Thorp Perrow Arboretum and I hope you like them.  I took them on my Sony Hazel 5.0 megapixel mobile phone and I think they came out remarkably well.
